0:00:13 Tansy Rodgers: Welcome back to the Energy Fix, a podcast dedicated to help you balance your energetic body by diving deep into the sweet world of all things health and spirituality. My name’s Tansy and and I’m an intuitive crystal Reiki energy healer, energetic nutrition and holistic health practitioner, and a crystal jewelry designer. It’s time to talk all things energy. Let’s dive in. Welcome back. Oh my goodness. Can you believe that we are on week four of the Evolution of Self here on the Energy Fix podcast, this Crystal See series.
0:00:54 Tansy Rodgers: And today we’re going to be talking about one that, no pun intended, warms my heart, but also one that inspires me so greatly. Because this is the main chakra that I see most typically imbalanced when I am working with clients and the one that can easily shut down. Especially when we’re living in a world and a human experience that is filled with creative grief and frustration and trust and so much uncertainty, it can really affect our heart.
0:01:34 Tansy Rodgers: Today, we land gently into the heart chakra, the place where we love, where we grieve, where we soften, where we learn to forgive ourselves and others. And if you’re here today carrying a tender heart, if you’ve been holding on to old pain or quietly wondering if it’s safe to open up again, then this episode is definitely for you. Remember, if you want to explore the crystals that I mentioned today, or work with me more intimately through one on one sessions, intuitive energy healing, or simply see where I’ll be in person next, make sure to head on over to tansyrogers.com or beocrystals.com
0:02:20 Tansy Rodgers: I would love to support your journey. You can find both of those links down in the show notes for easy access. Just click on them and head on over and check things out. Now, let’s take a breath. Let’s take a breath into your heart and begin this journey of the heart chakra. Your heart chakra is the fourth energy center and it sits right in the center of your chest between your sternum and your spine.
0:02:49 Tansy Rodgers: It radiates outward through your heart space, through your shoulders, your arms, your hands, your upper back. And here’s something super beautiful that I love to emphasize, especially to my clients when I’m working with them more intimately. Because this, this is typically not understood or not recognized. It is the bridge. It’s the bridge between the physical and and the spiritual, between the grounded energy of the lower chakras and the expansive energy of the upper chakras.
0:03:23 Tansy Rodgers: It’s where human love meets divine love, where your physical heart meets Your energetic truth. It is that bridge. And it is so important to keep this chakra balanced out because of how it bridges everything together. The element of this chakra is air. So it’s more light, flowing, spacious. And it invites breath, openness, and the ability to give and receive love more freely. But here’s what I’ve seen over and over again in myself, in my clients, and in the world around me.
0:04:04 Tansy Rodgers: That most people are living with an armored heart because they had to be strong. Or maybe they were handed a life that brought so much grief way too early. Because love didn’t always feel safe or consistent or even real. And so we closed down. We closed down that heart center. We put walls up around it. We armor it to protect ourselves. We withhold the love that we want to freely give out to other people.
0:04:37 Tansy Rodgers: We turn softness into shame. We shame ourselves for being soft and being loving and being open to receiving that love. We stop trusting the part of ourselves that wants so much to connect. Deeply, deeply, deeply. And so when your heart chakra is feeling more balanced, you may feel things like you’re emotionally open, but you’re grounded. You’re able to give and receive love without overextending yourself.
0:05:12 Tansy Rodgers: Maybe you feel deeply connected to others, to yourself, to the divine. You’re compassionate without feeling or being self sacrificing. You’re forgiving. Not just in theory, but truly forgiving. And you can easily find peace with your past and your present and your moment. Your moment and finding peace with your future. It’s really about that give and flow of this love and this compassion and these emotions.
0:05:51 Tansy Rodgers: You don’t fear vulnerability, but you actually respect it. You know your worth doesn’t depend on someone else’s approval. You lead with love, but. But you’re not led by people pleasing. There’s this sense of equalness. Like your heart has space for absolutely everything. For the light, for the shadows, for the joy, for the ache. There is this equanimity that just radiates out of the heart. And everything has its purpose.
0:06:29 Tansy Rodgers: Now, when the heart chakra is out of balance, by the way, you may have listened to that and thought, that feels like an ideal world. That feels like a movie or a sitcom plot, right? But that’s probably because we don’t see it as often as we should or as often as we want to. What we often see is when the heart chakra is out of balance. So if your heart chakra is out of balance, you might experience grief that lingers like a ghost, Difficulty trusting others, difficulty trusting yourself. And Your decisions.
0:07:12 Tansy Rodgers: You may experience resentment and jealousy, or maybe emotional walls over giving to feeling loved and then burning out because you’re over giving so much. You might experience anxious attachment or avoidance in relationships. Maybe you feel disconnected from others even when you’re surrounded by a room full of people. Maybe you feel chronic tightness in your chest, shallow breathing, upper back pain.
0:07:45 Tansy Rodgers: But here’s the kicker. You can be heart centered and still have a blocked heart chakra. Let me repeat that. You can be heart centered and still have a blocked heart chakra. And if you’re curious what that looks like, it looks like this. You might care deeply. You might be the one who’s always there for everyone. But if you don’t know how to receive, if you equate love with sacrifice, if you’re still holding onto pain that never gets a safe space to land, then your heart energy that that heart chakra is going to start to constrict.
0:08:28 Tansy Rodgers: Now, I want to be crystal clear here. This isn’t about forcing your heart open. We don’t want to force the heart open. It’s about letting it remember who it was before the world told it to shut down. That’s the key. I want to repeat that again. This isn’t about forcing your heart open, rather letting it remember who it was before the world told it to shut down. It’s about learning to feel it all and not turn away.
0:09:04 Tansy Rodgers: That’s the real work of the heart. Feeling it all and not turning away. Now, I want to dive into, like I’ve been doing on the other episodes so far, we’re not going to talk so much about all of these ways that you can open up the heart and all these things that you could do. I want to make this series focused on learning about what the chakra is, but then also crystal medicine that you can bring in and use in a real hands on, tangible way.
0:09:38 Tansy Rodgers: And also then a beautiful way to activate the heart and to embody that integration so that you’re really bringing it all together and having a tangible way to open up that heart chakra to support the heart chakra as it is ready to do the work of allowing it to feel everything. All right, let’s talk about some of my favorite crystals that I love bringing in for heart chakra support. I’m going to offer you three gentle but powerful heart chakra allies in crystal form.
0:10:19 Tansy Rodgers: And these aren’t just stones for love. They’re stones for healing the heart, for finding your way back to your truth after the pain. Remember, as always, there are so Many crystals that you can pick from to really support the heart chakra. But I’m going to tell you three of my favorite. I’m going to tell you why I like them. And one of my favorite ways, or maybe two, I don’t know, it depends how I feel as I start talking about them. I’m going to give you some ways that you can work with the chakra, with the crystal yourself.
0:10:55 Tansy Rodgers: All right, I’m going to start with talking about one that is super common, that you probably have seen, heard, held many, many times in your life. So far, it’s one of the most common crystals when it comes to heart chakra healing, but also when it comes to love, compassion and just beauty in all of its pink form. And that is the beautiful rose quartz. This is the medicine of self compassion. Rose quartz is like the soul’s hug.
0:11:32 Tansy Rodgers: It doesn’t push you to heal. It holds you, it holds you gently while you do. This crystal helps really dissolve the inner critic and create space for softness, for gentleness, for a new relationship with your own heart. But what I love so, so much about rose quartz is that it does it in the most beautiful, supportive, gentlest of ways. It’s especially powerful if you’re working through self worth issues, if you’re learning to receive love after betrayal, if you need to soothe anxiety that is rooted in abandonment or rejection or grief.
0:12:15 Tansy Rodgers: And it’s a crystal that works very slow, subtly, very slowly. It’s kind of like, you know, warm sunlight coming in on a cold day. It just slowly starts to warm you from the inside. And so this is why rose quartz is just a beautiful, supportive stone to use pretty much in any form. You can wear it as jewelry. You can pop it into your pocket, you can use it during breath work while you’re journaling. You can even tuck it under your pillow at night when you’re sleeping because of how gentle, subtly and slowly it does work.
0:12:54 Tansy Rodgers: It’s a great stone to have on or around you throughout the day and just give that beautiful level of support. Now, one of my favorite ways to use rose quartz is actually in a double terminated wand. And what that means is that each end of that wand comes to a point. That’s what the double terminated is. Each end comes to a point. And so I love this because when it, when we talk about the shapes of crystals, when we talk about the points, if you have a tower, if you have a wand that has a single point on the end, or maybe it’s a clear quartz crystal that comes to a point that point is going to gently, maybe sometimes powerfully push that energy, direct that energy through the crystal and away from you.
0:13:54 Tansy Rodgers: Or if you have the point turned towards you, it’s going to pull the energy of the crystal and push it in towards you. And so when we have a double terminated crystal, that is going to expel it on both ends. So taking is this is a great tool if you are really experiencing heartbreak or grief or heavy emotions. Heavy walls in the heart itself. I love taking the double terminated point, putting it onto my heart chakra so that each point is pointed out away from my body.
0:14:34 Tansy Rodgers: So from one side of my chest to the other side of my chest, laying right on the heart chakra. And I will either just lay there with that on me or I will do it, use it during meditation. And what that does is it helps to take the heavy energy that’s sitting in my heart chakra, maybe forming some of the walls or the blocks or just causing that heaviness that’s causing the shutdown symptoms. And it will take that energy and it will push it out both ends of the crystal while allowing the rose quartz energy to infuse within my energy field.
0:15:14 Tansy Rodgers: It is a quicker way to allow that rose quartz energy to really sink in and mesh with my energetic body. But also it helps some of the detoxification process of pulling that heavy, negative, overwhelming energy out of me and dispelling it away. Now if I don’t have the time to lay around and have that laying on my heart chakra, I will get a small one and I will actually place it into my pocket, into my receiving side.
0:15:50 Tansy Rodgers: So for me, that’s my left. I will place it into my pocket and have it so that it is pointing horizontally. So each point is pointing on the outer and inner side of my leg. So you can choose whichever one. Or if that just feels like it’s too much and you don’t want to go that route, then you can simply carry or set a rose quartz around your surroundings and use it in a little bit more of a subtle fashion.
0:16:21 Tansy Rodgers: All right, let’s go into crystal number two. And this is Unikite. Unikite is the stone of emotional integration. It doesn’t get enough credit. It’s not a flashy stone, it’s not a trendy stone, but wow, is it powerful. This is a grief stone. It helps you process long held emotions, especially the ones that you have buried deep inside because you didn’t have the tools or the space to feel them at the time.
0:16:57 Tansy Rodgers: That’s how they’ve Gotten buried there. And this stone in particular can help you get there. Unikite says you can hold both joy and pain. You don’t have to choose. Unikite supports the nervous system and it encourages emotional digestion. If rose quartz is the heart’s hug, Unikite is the therapist that gently helps you unpack your boxes. It’s an especially powerful ally when doing somatic work or breath work or anything where you’re clearing stored emotional energy from the body.
0:17:40 Tansy Rodgers: Now, my favorite way to work with Unikite is actually to keep it as close as possible to my heart as I can. I personally the most effect when I do that. And I also when I use Unikite in different crystal protocols, I will bring that stone directly into the heart chakra. So for me, I like to either wear it in a necklace so that it’s hanging right over my heart chakra, or for all of you ladies out there, you can pop it into your bra and have it right there close to your heart as well.
0:18:18 Tansy Rodgers: That’s my favorite way. That is the way that I’ve had the most response response from Unikite, and it’s the way that I have found it to work the most powerful. But of course, if neither of those work for you, you can always just set it around your surroundings, carry it in your pocket, wear it as a bracelet, Use it in the way that you’re feeling most called to. I’m just telling you my favorite way and what I found to work quite well.
0:18:45 Tansy Rodgers: All right, let’s talk about crystal number three. And that is rhodonite. Rhodonite is the warrior of forgiveness. It is your heart’s boundary keeper. It helps you forgive without losing your power. And this stone is the one that is great for those who have been hurt deeply but still want to keep their hearts open. Rhodonite comes in and it says, you don’t have to forget, but you don’t have to carry it anymore either.
0:19:21 Tansy Rodgers: Mm. Rhodonite balances the heart, the root chakras together at the same time so you can feel emotionally safe while you heal and also stay grounded. It’s incredibly helpful for releasing resentment, reclaiming emotional energy, healing codependent patterns, letting love back in without self abandonment. And this is one that I love reaching for when I want to forgive myself, when I need to lay down the guilt, the shoulds, and the ways that I’ve been too hard on my heart.
0:20:03 Tansy Rodgers: This is actually one of the main stones that I use in my self love, self worth Crystal protocol during my Energy healing sessions. Rhodonite always comes in during this time. And so for that and in support of that, my favorite way of using Rhodonite is to actually keep it somewhere in my energy field. When I’m going into situations that there’s going to be a lot of potential grief, a lot of emotion, and a lot of places that actually cause me to question who I am, to question my worth, to question my own self love and my own self respect when I feel like I need a little extra support.
0:20:50 Tansy Rodgers: Because maybe there could be some really sensitive emotions or triggers that are going to bubble up inside of me, maybe I’m going into a family situation that causes my heart to want to shut down, I will pop some Rhodonite into my pocket or maybe I’ll wear a bracelet of it. That’s one of my favorite ways, is just wearing it as a bracelet and then, and then bringing it in that way to have it in my energy field to support me the entire time.
0:21:19 Tansy Rodgers: I also love the fact that crystals can be that tactile visual support. So when I’m in some of those tough situations and I need to remember the self love and the self courage and staying open and being present, even if I’m being triggered, then being able to pop my hand into my pocket and rub a piece of Rhodonite is a great tactile reminder for myself to come back within my heart, to come back within myself.
0:21:49 Tansy Rodgers: And this, this is the same thing if you have a bracelet or a necklace. It’s really that tactile piece to remind me that it’s okay to stay grounded and centered and to be within myself even when there’s chaos around me, to be the calm in the chaos, especially in my heart chakra. All right, now that we talked about, three of my absolute favorite heart chakra stones, I want to drop into a heart activation. I want us to come together, to be connected and drop in to allowing the heart to open and expand.
0:22:28 Tansy Rodgers: So if you’re in a place that’s safe that you can close your eyes, that you can, that you can step into that point of just connecting in with yourself, then I invite you to do so. So let’s drop in. Close your eyes, unless you’re driving, of course. And gently place both hands over your heart space. Feel your breath meet your chest. Just breathing softly, breathing normally. Notice your chest as it starts to rise, as it falls, as it expands and softens.
0:23:30 Tansy Rodgers: And now I want you to speak these words aloud or in your heart space, but I want you to Direct these words to your heart. As you’re connecting into that breath, as you’re connecting into your heart chakra and that space within the heart chakra. I forgive myself for what I didn’t know. I forgive others for what they could not give. I choose love not as a weakness, but as my sacred power. I choose myself.
0:24:31 Tansy Rodgers: I choose to love myself because I am worthy, because I am enough, because love is my birthright. Now let your hands just warm your heart for a moment. Maybe visualize or feel the warmth coming from your hands, from your palms, radiating into your heart space. Visualizing or feeling that warmth from the lights coming out of your hands, expanding into the heart. Expanding through the heart, filling your entire chest, giving yourself permission to let the weight drop, maybe roll the shoulders and allow the weight to just fall away from the shoulders.
0:25:49 Tansy Rodgers: Maybe extending your neck so that it’s tall and long and your shoulders drop down to the ground. Let yourself be right here in your tenderness, your truth, your remembering. Give yourself permission to be right here. Take a deep breath coming in through the nose, filling the heart space up with so much healing breath, healing air. And now let that breath release, Exhale out through the mouth, pushing any of that heaviness out of the heart, out of your body, letting all be released and let go.
0:26:59 Tansy Rodgers: And again, inhaling through the nose, pulling that healing, loving air into the heart space, space, and exhaling out through the mouth, pushing away anything that’s ready to be released, any of the heaviness, anything that’s keeping that heart blocked. And one more time, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth with an audible exhale, just releasing it and letting it go. This is the kind of strength that changes everything.
0:27:47 Tansy Rodgers: This is the revolution of the open heart. Remembering your truth. Now, before you open your eyes, I want you just to take a moment and give gratitude for yourself for being here and supporting yourself, but also gratitude for your heart chakra, for your ability to love, for your ability to expand, for your willingness to let yourself go there. Remember, putting a smile on your face helps with opening up that heart chakra.
0:28:40 Tansy Rodgers: And when you’re ready, you can slowly release your hands and open your eyes. Mmm. To warm the heart. It is such a gift to give to yourself. This week, I want to give you an invitation. And your invitation is to choose one of the three crystals, rose quartz, unikite Rhodonite, and carry it with you. Sleep near it, or work with it intentionally. Then once a day, pause and ask yourself, what am I still holding on to that’s ready to soften.
0:29:30 Tansy Rodgers: Where could I offer myself just 10% more compassion? What story of hurt am I ready to rewrite? Not to erase the past, but to reclaim my future? And if you want deeper support, make sure that you head on over to beuchrystals.com you can check out any of the bracelets there or check any of the jewelry if you come to a live event. But specifically check out the Self Love bracelet. That one is specifically intentionally created for the heart chakra opening.

0:30:44 Tansy Rodgers: and I would love to support your journey in person or virtually wherever you’re at in the world now. Next week we are rising again. We’re coming into the Throat Chakra, the voice of your soul. We’re going to explore what happens when your truth gets silenced and what it means to speak, create and live in your full expression again. But for now, let your heart breathe. Let it ache. Let it soften. Let it rise again.
0:31:19 Tansy Rodgers: Because love isn’t just what you give, it’s what you remember. It’s who you are. And until next time, keep spreading that beautiful energy you were born to share.
